The Danish Investment Association (IFB) works to create the best possible environment for private and institutional investors giving them access to professional management of their investments. The aim of the IFB is to:
- Secure an internationally competitive foundation for managing investment
- Encourage fair competition and high standards of integrity, investor protection and investor information
- Ensure safe, relevant and compatible information to the investors
- Encourage the knowledge of investment funds and their value to the investors and the society
One of our most important objectives is to represent the investment management industry in relation to legislators and authorities - for instance, the Danish FSA and the tax authorities. Furthermore, our aim is to facilitate doing business. We monitor the legislative work and submit responses to consultations on behalf of the fund industry.
We publish official statistics on performance, cost levels, market trends, etc. The purpose is to promote competition and create transparency. Furthermore, we have an important objective of ensuring knowledge sharing with member associations about industry matters.
At the Annual General Meeting held on 29 April 2014, the Association changed its name from "The Federation of Danish Investment Associations/InvesteringsForeningsRådet" to "The Danish Investment Association/Investeringsfondsbranchen."
The Association was founded in 1984.
